Orthopedic Procedures

Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL) Disease surgery: Stifle arthroscopy with: TPLO, Lateral suture or TightRope.

Patella Luxation Correction (i.e., tibial crest transposition & trochlear block recession)

Fracture Repair (due to the nature of some fractures and Dr Gillick's busy schedule, referral may be recommend

Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO)

TPLO / Arthroscopy

By far the most common procedure Dr. Gillick performs. Combined with arthroscopy, TPLO is considered the gold-standard repair for CCL injuries. TPLO can be performed on patients from 4kg up to over 80kg! Dr. Gillick primarily uses Arthrex TPLO locking plates.

Soft Tissue Procedures

We offer a variety of soft tissue surgeries including: Anal sacculectomy, Perineal Urethrostomy, Brachycephalic Syndrome (soft palate, nares and laryngeal saccules). Please note, every patient is unique and some patients will be better served at a full service referral centre that offers 24 hour overnight care. We therefore may recommend referral to a "brick and mortar" referral centre.

Oncological Surgery

Some more simple lumpectomies can be performed on a mobile basis. For more advanced tumor resections, skin flaps and grafts, referral is recommended due to the post-op management and more frequent follow-up care.

Arthroscopy (Elbow, Shoulder, Hock)

Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive tool used to assess and treat various joint pathology. From FCP removal in the elbow to OCD debridement in the shoulder and hock. Please contact Dr. Gillick with specific case details to see if a patient may be a candidate.

Patella Luxation (MPL, LPL)

Higher grade (IV) luxation often require much more extensive correction and pre-surgical planning including advanced imaging. In those cases, referral may be recommended.
